The first thing you're probably thinking is - "Wasn't October when the bombings in Bali took place?" If so, you're exactly correct, and believe it or not, I was there with my son, Keo at the very same time. Fortunately, we were staying at the Grand Hyatt Resort, which is located in Nusa Dua (approximately 20 minutes by taxi from the site of the bombings). Amazingly, though, we were shopping in the Kuta Beach area just minutes from the blast site on Saturday morning (10/12/02) - the same day the horrible acts of terror took place. After we discovered what had happened the following day, we decided to persevere instead of giving in and leaving behind our vacation. We're both very glad we did, as we had a wonderful time with no other problems at all. Here is a collection of photos from that trip:
