In May of 2002, my company (Sybase, Inc.) held their local Sybase Taiwan User's Conference on the beautiful island of Penang, Malaysia. Since the event coincided with a school holiday period for my son, Keo, I took the opportunity to take him along with me as well. We even stayed an extra couple of days over the weekend to enjoy the trip even more. The conference was held at the Mutiara Beach Resort, which proved to be an excellent family-oriented place to stay. Sybase Taiwan also hosted our customers, partners, and speakers on a day trip to Langkawi where we were able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, snorkel, and savor the delicious local food. We enjoyed ourselves very much and hope to go back sometime in the near future. Here are a few pictures from that trip:
